Casting processing

The theoretical metal liquid forming of casting is often referred to as casting, and the history of casting forming technology is long. Over 5000 years ago, our ancestors were able to cast red copper and bronze products. Casting is a widely used liquid metal forming process. It is a method of pouring liquid metal into the mold cavity, cooling and solidifying it to obtain a certain shape of blank or part.
Casting is a metal formed object obtained by various casting methods, that is, smelted liquid metal is injected into a pre prepared mold by casting, injection molding, suction or other casting methods, cooled, polished and processed to obtain an object with a certain shape, size and performance.
In the production of casting technology for machine tool bed body castings, the principle of high-temperature discharge and low-temperature casting should be followed during casting. Because increasing the temperature at which the molten metal is removed from the furnace is beneficial for the melting of inclusions and the upward movement of slag, facilitating slag cleaning and degassing, and reducing slag inclusion and porosity defects in machine tool castings; Using a lower pouring temperature is beneficial for reducing the gas solubility, liquid shrinkage, and baking of the mold cavity surface by high-temperature metal liquid in the metal liquid, avoiding defects such as porosity, sand adhesion, and shrinkage. Therefore, while ensuring that the mold cavity is filled, try to use a lower pouring temperature as much as possible. The process of injecting molten metal from the ladle into the mold is called pouring. Improper pouring operation can cause defects in machine tool castings such as insufficient pouring, cold insulation, porosity, shrinkage, and slag inclusion, as well as personal injury.
